Edward Gorey Envelope by pixelfish Edward Gorey Envelope by pixelfish
I created an envelope for the 2015 Edward Gorey Envelope contest. Sadly, it did not win. I was kinda hoping it would, not because I wanted any of the prizes, being already freighted with many Edward Gorey books and memorabilia, but because the envelope would be on display at the house and that seemed like the coolest thing imaginable.

In any case, I'm a long time fan of Gorey, having imprinted on his Mystery! title work. (As a child, I was always disappointed that ALL of Mystery! didn't use the animations for the WHOLE show.) So of course, I had to put an urn in. And some raven-bird-creatures. And an enigmatic veiled lady of ominous visage. And tombstones and bare trees in the cool autumn mist.
