This work was created for a graphic design competition hosted by Veerle Pieters. (This is my second of two posters.)
Link to contest info and entrants here: [link] The theme of the competition was to illustrate the phrase: Graphic design is... This piece was a slight remix of one of my older pieces, Inspiration. (I reused the die line and the blank base milk carton, but the design for Ideas and Communication is ALL brand new. I created the Japanese lantern, tree, island, and fireflies in Illustrator. And obviously the colour scheme is completely different.) Carton design: I picked fireflies to be my symbol of communication and ideas--they combine the light of the new idea with a way of communicating. That's what graphic design is all about. |
